Philanthropy Partners with Buck Institute for Research on Aging in New Sponsorship

Givens Communities is proud to announce a new sponsorship partnership with the Buck Institute for Research on Aging, a global leader in the science of longevity. Through this collaboration, Givens Communities will bring Buck’s LIVE (Longevity Inspired Vitality Education) program directly to residents across its life plan and affordable housing communities—transforming cutting-edge aging research into practical, everyday strategies for healthier living.

An initiative of Givens Communities’ Longevity and Brain Health Program, the partnership will provide residents with access to monthly, facilitated master classes led by Buck Institute experts. Announcements will be made once classes become available. These sessions translate the latest research on aging into clear, actionable guidance focused on brain health, physical function, metabolic resilience, sleep, and overall vitality—areas essential to maintaining independence and quality of life over time.

“The science of aging is advancing rapidly, yet many of its most powerful insights remain inaccessible to those who stand to benefit most,” said Taryn Tindall, Givens Communities Longevity & Brain Health Program Director. “This partnership brings the science of healthy aging out of the laboratory and into everyday life in our communities, where it can meaningfully shape how residents age.”

By making world-class scientific expertise engaging, understandable, and relevant, the LIVE program strengthens Givens Communities’ ongoing commitment to lifelong health, purpose, and independence. It also reflects a broader vision for wellness—one that goes beyond traditional programming to emphasize prevention, resilience, and sustained capability throughout the aging journey.

“This collaboration reflects our conviction that informed individuals, supported by intentional environments, can shape their own course of health and function over time,” Tindall added. “It also underscores our commitment to helping lead the work of extending healthspan, not just lifespan, for the people we serve.”

Through this partnership with the Buck Institute, Givens Communities continues to advance its mission of redefining what it means to age well—bringing the promise of longevity science into daily life and empowering residents with knowledge that supports healthier aging today and into the future.

Givens Communities, together with its philanthropy team, remains deeply committed to uplifting and investing in organizations like the Buck Institute for Research on Aging whose work advances knowledge, innovation, and real-world impact. By aligning philanthropic resources with leading research institutions, Givens Communities helps accelerate the translation of discovery into practical solutions that improve lives today and for generations to come.
