At Givens Aldersgate, generosity is more than a value; it’s a way of life. In 2025, our residents dedicated an incredible 3,072.25 reported volunteer hours to organizations and causes throughout the Charlotte community. And we know that number only scratches the surface because many more hours were given quietly and without recognition.
Philanthropy at Aldersgate is about more than financial gifts; it is about giving time, talent, and heart to make a difference. Our residents live out this mission every day. From lending a hand to local nonprofits to supporting neighbors right here on campus, Aldersgate residents embody the spirit of service. Their contributions touched lives through efforts such as Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement, refugee support programs, and United Women initiatives. Closer to home, residents volunteered in roles like tutoring, creating prayer shawls, assisting with religious services, and offering pet therapy. They also supported campus life by helping in the library, salon, and Trading Post, caring for the Rose Garden, and even playing piano for worship services.
This remarkable commitment reflects the heart of Aldersgate and the true meaning of philanthropy: giving back to strengthen both our community and the world around us. Thank you to every resident who made a difference this year. Your efforts remind us that philanthropy is not just about what we give, but how we live.
